warm-weather kayaking expedition.

waters of the Sea of Cortez - Baja California,
one of the world's great wildlife sanctuaries.

"I HAVE NO KAYAKING EXPERIENCE!" No problem, you'll fit right in. The majority of our participants are beginners. All you need is to arrive in Bahia with a positive attitude, good health and a desire to explore. Our expert guides will teach you everything you need to know. You'll never have to worry about learning the Eskimo roll. Our boats are very stable and sea-worthy. Offering the security of unexposed crossings, none of the islands is more than four miles off shore. Paddling these protected waters will be both relaxing and invigorating. Natural history buffs will enjoy the area populated by over fifty species of birds, including boobies, pelicans, frigate birds and osprey, as well as (with a little luck) sighting some of the dozen species of whale--including the Blue whale, the largest mammal on earth at 150 tons.

EXPEDITION PRICE: $750.00

TRIP DESCRIPTION: The expedition's highlight is kayaking in the Bay of Angels,
Sea of Cortez - home of the Blue Whales.
Over a dozen islands clustered in the protected waters of the bay and off the beaten tourist path, make the Bay of Angels an absolute kayaker's paradise.
We will spend the days paddling around islands and exploring hidden coves, while keeping our eyes open to spot whales, dolphins and the playful sea lions.
Each night we camp on a different island and most of the paddling, will be done in the morning, leaving the afternoon for snorkeling, hiking or just relaxing.

TRANSPORTATION:Getting to the expedition's location requires self-transportation, a very cost-effective option especially if your party is of two or more people.
Your trip will begin in San Diego, California, and from here you will transport yourself (with a rental car or your own), to the Bay of Angels.
You can leave San Diego in the morning and arrive in Bahia de Los Angeles that afternoon; Or if you want to take your time and enjoy the scenic drive, give yourself an extra day (recommended).
Although getting to Bahia is very easy and straight forward, we will provide you with car rental information, detailed driving directions, information on hotels in Baja, and all the necesary travel tips.

GROUP SIZE: To maximize the quality of your adventure, our groups never exceed 8 travelers. Spots on our trips are limited so please book early.

WHAT DO I DO NEXT? Upon receiving your reservation payment, we will send you a confirmation of your reservation, a medical questionnaire, and a liability release form which must be signed and
returned before participation in this activity. You will also receive a complete list of what to bring, and other travel information.

RESERVATION POLICY: A $300 deposit reserves you one of the limited spots on a trip. Full amount is due 60 days prior to departure. Any reservations made within 60 days from departure require full payment.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: You will receive an optional travel insurance pack which will protect your vacation investment in the eventuality of cancellation, interruption due to weather, airline or other transportation delays, sickness, or any situation beyond our control.

CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Canceling 60 days or more before departure full refund, less $50.00 handling fee.
Canceling 59-31 days before departure a 50% refund.
Canceling 30 days before departure non-refundable.
